The keyboardist Toni Saigi 'Chupi' will be the protagonist this Friday afternoon to give us a taste of his latest songs along with a luxurious, spontaneous, intense interpretation and an infectious live performance full of groove, a music that combines the spirit of jazz with popular rhythms of black American music from the soul and funk of the 60s and 70s to the most current hip hop and R&B.
By profession, musician. His father was already an important musician in the Barcelona scene of the last century, and his two sons are now two keyboard players with a lot of future. For Chupi, being able to live from music was an exciting dream and it has ended up being a reality.
He always wanted to be Herbie Hancock, a musician who loves himself and loves everything he does. And following this trail, and others like that of the Cuban music that his father interpreted so much, he has plowed a career in which he has been part of great groups (Orquestra Plateria, Els Pets, Jarabe de Palo), as well as the music ground for advertising and more specialized formations in funk, acid-jazz or rhythm and blues: Princes of Time, Nubla, Pybus Groove...
